Summary:
  • Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible again today and Wednesday, mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours across the central/southern Sierra along with points east across southern NV.
  • Temperatures will remain primarily above normal through the end of the week before a cooling trend to near or below normal by next week. Another round of showers/t-storms over the higher terrain may occur by the upcoming weekend.
  • Snowmelt-fed rivers and streams will see increased flows through the week as a result of warm temperatures. Elsewhere, rivers and streams are gradually receding.
  • Monitor stage exceedances are forecast to continue at the West Fork Carson at Woodfords and Humboldt River at Comus due to snowmelt.
