...SYSTEMS CONTINUE TO BRUSH FAR NORTHERN AREAS THROUGH THE WEEK...
...QUESTIONS WITH DEPTH OF SYSTEM EXPECTED TO ARRIVE ON SATURDAY...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (MON AM - SUN AM)...

High pressure over the eastern Pacific off the CA coast...while the
storm track remains to the north moving across BC and the Pacific
Northwest. One of these disturbances is currently traversing areas
to the north...with a second close on its heels west of Vancouver
Island. The first s/wv trof may be deep enough to bring some
scattered light precip to the crest of the southern OR Cascades and
far northwest CA (mainly Smith River basin) today...while the next
is a bit more shallow and may only spread a few hundredths of an
inch to areas around Crater Lake on Tuesday before making its way
toward the Great Basin.

Wednesday will generally be between systems moving across BC and the
Pacific Northwest with the next system that brings in a bit more
moisture arrives on Thursday. The 29/00Z EC and CMC are starting to
hint at the potential for some light precip making its way down to
the CA/OR border area and far northern NV as this system moves
inland across the state of WA and then moves off toward the
southeast. The GFS still keeps precip north of the area on
Thursday...as does the NBM...but felt with the trend of the other
models to at least include some light amounts over the northern tier
of the region.

Then for the upcoming weekend...models are definitely struggling
with a system making its way from near the Aleutian Island southeast
toward the west coast. The EC is much shallower and takes the
feature across the Pacific Northwest...while the GFS and CMC form a
much deeper cutoff low that either drops down the coast offshore or
moves inland across northern CA. At this time...low confidence for
the impacts from this system...and for now...followed closest to WPC
and NBMEXP bringing some light precip across northern CA and to a
lesser extent central CA on Saturday.
