...WEAK DISTURBANCE TRAVERSES THE REGION LATER TODAY...
...MAINLY DRY INTO NEXT WEEK WITH TEMPS HOVERING NEAR NORMAL...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (SAT AM - FRI AM)...

Low pressure has moved downstream of the area...and is now located
in the vicinity of the 4-Corners region. For today...upr ridging
currently traversing the area will be quickly followed by a weak
disturbance moving through the west to northwest flow aloft...moving
from the northern CA coast toward the Lake Tahoe area before exiting
the region near the southern NV/UT border. This is now expected to
touch off some scattered light precip today with the best amounts in
the vicinity of this weak disturbance this afternoon/evening into
the overnight hours.

Into next week...models indicate the west to northwest flow aloft
continuing through the period as high pressure resides offshore
generally along 140W...and the storm track moves across the northern
Pacific toward BC and the Pacific Northwest generally along 45N to
50N. The southern extent of a s/wv trof on Monday and then again on
Tuesday may dip far enough south to bring a couple hundredths of an
inch of precip to the crest of the southern OR Cascades.
Otherwise...look for dry conditions across the region for much of
the upcoming week. In terms of temperatures...look for these to
fluctuate somewhere around the normal mark.
