Summary:
  • A couple disturbances will move through the northwest flow aloft today, bringing the best opportunity for precipitation across the CA/OR border area, length of the Sierra, and points east across the state of NV. Amounts will generally range from 0.25" to 0.50".
  • Westerly flow aloft will dominate conditions into next week as the storm track remains to the north of the area. Temperatures will rebound and fluctuate closer to normal.
  • Melt-driven rises on most streams are expected to decrease with cooler temperatures and recent cloud cover.
  • Several points along the Humboldt River continue to exceed monitor stage and are forecasted to reach flood stage within the next several days.
