Summary:
  • Dry conditions and above normal temperatures return through early next week as high pressure builds offshore then drifts overhead. Anomalies of +5 to +15 deg F, locally higher.
  • Showers possible over nrn/cntrl CA starting mid-week as a low approaches from the west.
  • Northern CA rivers will continue to recede today.
  • Despite warming temperatures, diurnal streamflow rises in mountain basins will continue to be muted as freshly fallen snow will supress snowmelt for at least a few days.
  • No locations are forecast to exceed action/monitor stage over the next five days.
