5.0 FeetFlooding of low lying areas adjacent to the river between Hinkley Road and Yermo. Some local erosion to the levees. Due to bank erosion the approach from the east of the Hinkley Road bridge could be in danger of being undercut. Minneola Road and Harvard Road east of Barstow could be overtopped and closed to traffic.
5.5 FeetFlooding of low lying areas and farmland adjacent to the river between Hinkley Road and Yermo. Due to bank erosion the approach from the east to the Hinkley Road bridge is closed. Additional erosion of the levees can be expected.
6.0 FeetSome levees are threatened and overtopping is possible which would bring flooding to structures located near the river bank off Soapmine Road and Riverside Drive in Barstow.
6.5 FeetLenwood Road crossing at Mojave River potentially overtopped.
8.0 FeetLevees could be overtopped leading to extensive flooding of structures and infrastructure located along the river bank off Soapmine Road and Riverside Drive in Barstow.

Today: Sunny. Very windy. Patchy blowing dust through the day. Isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 70. West winds 25 to 35 mph increasing to 35 to 45 mph in the afternoon. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Isolated thunderstorms in the evening. Patchy blowing dust in the evening. Lows 46 to 49. West winds 20 to 30 mph. Gusts up to 55 mph decreasing to 40 mph after midnight. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.
